Hey, Hip Grandmas, check out www.unclerock.com for the coolest kid music this side of the moon. Uncle Rock’s newest CD is “The Big Picture,” and it combines Beatle-esque hooks with influences from Buddy Holly, the Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, and David Bowie. The LA Times says that Uncle Rock’s music is “Shel Silverstein Meets Buddy Holly,” and it’s definitely music with an edge. Not only do the tunes rock, but they’re socially conscious as well. Being green, shopping at Mom and Pop’s, taking care of our earth, and other values shine through in Uncle Rock’s songs, and this CD is one that you’ll want to play over and over again. If you’re in the NYC area, Uncle Rock is performing live at some cool venues. Sweet!
